Denmark On Two Wheels
‘The highest point in Denmark is only 170 metres above sea level. In the rolling landscape there are no hills that cannot be climbed with ordinary pedal-power, and that is just one of the many reasons why Denmark is the ideal territory for cyclists.’ Those were words that helped make the decision to nip over, pick up a hire car and make our base at a coastal summer house in West Jutland with hire bikes for transport.

Alpine Hikers Battle Bed Bugs
According to the DAV, its mountain huts are very suitable habitats for bedbugs because of the many corners, cracks and crevices. Their distribution is aided by infected objects as, without realising it, mountaineers and climbers may carry hitchhiking bugs in their backpacks from hut to hut.

Recharge The Outdoors Update
Battery manufacturer GP Batteries launched its ‘Recharge the Outdoors’ campaign to the UK outdoor industry last year. In a bid to reduce the 600 million batteries thrown away in the UK every year, the bold move was the first time a battery manufacturer has challenged an entire industry to switch to eco-friendly rechargeable batteries.
