Hadrian’s Country: On & Off The Wall
Hadrian’s Wall Path is a dedicated trail for walkers stretching from Segedunum Roman Fort in Wallsend to Bowness-on-Solway, west of Carlisle. It opened officially in 2003, enabling visitors to walk the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall along an unbroken, signposted trail stretching from coast to coast. At 84 miles, the Path is ideal for a week-long holiday as well as highly attractive for day visitors.

EOCA Conservation Funding Reaches €3 million
In March this year, thousands of outdoor enthusiasts joined the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA), and its members, to take part in the annual spring public vote. As a result of the public vote, plus the members’ private vote, six new conservation projects have been selected for EOCA support. It also marks a milestone in the history of EOCA – the funding of €3 million for conservation projects around the world.

RSPB Citizen Science Pufferazzi Project
The RSPB’s ground-breaking Puffarazzi Project is back and needs help to find out more about one of the most-loved seabirds. In 2017, visitors to puffin colonies around the UK and Ireland were asked to join the puffarazzi by photographing these colourful seabirds with fish in their bills and now the project is re-launched.
